BOMDILA : A coordination meeting to review preparations for the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, the commemoration of 150 Years of Vande Mataram, and Partition Horrors Remembrance Day was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Chamber here on Tuesday.
The meeting, chaired by West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Dr Dilip Kumar, discussed arrangements for the nationwide observance scheduled from August 9 to 17.
Briefing the participants, the DC outlined the activities planned across the district, including Tiranga Yatras, bike rallies, mass singing of Vande Mataram, essay competitions and other awareness programmes.
He appealed to residents, Heads of Departments and the business community to actively participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by hoisting the National Flag at their homes, offices and business establishments throughout the observance period.
Participants also shared suggestions to ensure the smooth and effective implementation of the campaign and the associated programmes.
The meeting was attended by Bomdila Superintendent of Police Dorjee Wangdi Thongon, representatives of the 9 Gorkha Regiment and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Heads of Departments and other officials. (DIPR)
