NIRJULI, AUG 17:
ICR Naharlagun Superintendent of Police Nyelam Nega inspected the newly constructed Police Station building at Nirjuli on Monday to review its infrastructure and construction-related requirements.
Nega was accompanied by Naharlagun Sub-Divisional Police Officer Rishi Longdo. Officials from the PHQ Housing Division, the Officer-in-Charge of Nirjuli Police Station and the concerned contractor were also present during the inspection.
During the inspection, Nega examined the building and discussed key infrastructure requirements with the officials concerned. He recommended that the boundary wall along the National Highway (NH) be constructed with adequate provision for uninterrupted drainage flow to minimise waterlogging during heavy rainfall.
The need for a systematic vehicle parking layout within the premises was also discussed to ensure proper management of official police vehicles, incoming and outgoing vehicles, and seized or impounded vehicles.
Nega stressed that proper planning and execution of the remaining infrastructure would help create a functional, efficient and well-managed Police Station complex for police personnel and the public.
