PASIGHAT, AUG 18:

The Department of Commerce, Arunachal Pradesh University (APU), organised an Orientation-cum-Induction Programme for newly admitted M.Com first-semester students here on Tuesday, providing academic guidance and an opportunity for interaction among the new batch.

The programme was hosted by Assistant Professor Tenzin Chimey, while Guest Faculty Obinam Tayeng delivered the welcome address. An ice-breaker session followed, allowing students to introduce themselves, share their aspirations and interact with their peers.

Assistant Professor Dr Yab Rajiv Camder conducted a technical session, providing academic and technical guidance for the students’ postgraduate journey. He encouraged them to approach their studies with greater rigour, analytical thinking and active participation.

Students recording the highest attendance in the first and second semesters were felicitated with certificates in recognition of their regularity and commitment to academic activities.

Addressing the gathering, Head of the Department Dr Rajen Miwu urged the newly admitted students to make the most of their postgraduate studies, stressing discipline, regularity, active participation and continuous learning.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Chiging Yamang, who expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
