ITANAGAR, AUG 18:
Arunachal Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP Tai Tagak has been nominated as a member of the official Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, officials here said on Tuesday.
Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein welcomed Tagak’s nomination and congratulated him on the new responsibility.
“Congratulations to Hon’ble Member of Rajya Sabha Shri @TaiTagak ji on his nomination as a member of the official Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas,” Mein said in a post on X on Tuesday.
The deputy chief minister said the nomination was a recognition of Tagak’s experience and commitment to public service and an opportunity for him to contribute to important national discussions in the energy sector.
“Wishing him every success in this new responsibility,” he added.
Tagak, a senior BJP leader, was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Arunachal Pradesh earlier this year. (Source: PTI)
