NIRJULI, SEP 8:

Galaxy Degree College, Nirjuli, organised an Inauguration-cum-Orientation Programme at its Seminar Hall on Monday to formally welcome students and mark the beginning of the new academic session.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the felicitation of dignitaries by Galaxy Degree College Chairman Tapas Ranjan Nayak. Principal Pankaj Bora delivered the welcome address and greeted the guests, parents and students.

The ceremony featured a cake-cutting by the chief guest, Dr A K Mishra, State Liaison Officer (SLO), National Service Scheme (NSS), Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Itanagar. Mishra also addressed the gathering.

Prof Dr Padma Raj Gajurel, Dean of Student Affairs and Department of Forestry, North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), was the guest of honour and also addressed the gathering.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem and a group photograph. The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the students and brought together the college community in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and academic aspiration.
