NAHARLAGUN, SEP 11:
The Paralympic Association of Arunachal (PAA) has congratulated Thupten Tsering, a Divyangjan artist and sports promoter, on his appointment as President of the Arunachal Pradesh Para Athletics Association (APPAA).
The PAA said Tsering’s journey as a Divyangjan artist and his continued involvement in public and sporting activities reflected his commitment to promoting the abilities and aspirations of persons with disabilities. It expressed confidence that his experience would bring a valuable perspective to the development of para-athletes and Para Sports in the state.
The association said his appointment came at an important time for the growth of Para Athletics in Arunachal Pradesh and expressed hope that his leadership would strengthen grassroots talent identification, athlete development, professional coaching, training opportunities and participation in national and international competitions.
The PAA also hoped that his leadership would encourage more persons with disabilities to take up sports as a means of building confidence, recognition and empowerment.
The association said it looked forward to working closely with Tsering and the Arunachal Pradesh Para Athletics Association to strengthen the Para Sports movement and create better opportunities for aspiring para-athletes across the state.
The PAA conveyed its best wishes to Tsering for a successful tenure and expressed confidence that his leadership would contribute to a stronger future for para-athletes in Arunachal Pradesh.
