TAWANG, SEP 25:

A coordination meeting to review preparations for the 5th State Level Archery Championship 2026 was held at Vivanta Tawang on Friday.

The championship is scheduled from October 10 to 12 at the Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso High Altitude Stadium, Tawang.

The meeting was attended by District Sports Officer Tawang Sangey Tsering, Tawang District Archery Association (TDAA) advisors Sherap La and Lobsang Sherab, Major Prabhat Mishra of 190 Mountain Brigade, the Organising Chairman, Secretary and chairpersons of various organising committees.

The Organising Chairman stressed collective responsibility, close coordination and timely completion of assigned tasks. Committee chairpersons presented progress reports and discussed arrangements for the competition venue, accommodation, transportation, reception and registration of teams, identity cards, food and refreshments, technical equipment, opening and closing ceremonies, publicity and media coverage.

Security, traffic management, medical and emergency services, sponsorship and financial management were also reviewed. Coordination among the TDAA, Arunachal Archery Association, District Administration, Sports Department and 190 Mountain Brigade was discussed to ensure smooth conduct of the championship.

District Sports Officer Sangey Tsering assured necessary cooperation from the Sports Department and offered suggestions for the event. TDAA advisors Sherap La and Lobsang Sherab called upon the organising committees to maintain discipline, unity and close coordination.

Major Prabhat Mishra discussed the support and coordination to be extended by the 190 Mountain Brigade. The Secretary briefed participants on organisational arrangements, official correspondence and pending responsibilities.

All committee chairpersons assured that their respective assignments would be completed within the stipulated time. The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to ensure the smooth conduct of the championship.
