IMC Commissioner inaugurates India Unboxed printing press

ITANAGAR, SEP 26:

Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) Commissioner Kego Jilen on Saturday inaugurated the printing press of newspaper India Unboxed at its office in Dariya Hill near here.

Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development & Financial Corporation Ltd (APIDFCL) Managing Director Hage Tari attended the event along with India Unboxed Managing Director Ram Tajo and staff members.

Congratulating the newspaper team, Jilen said the media house could generate employment and help create public awareness through its publications. He highlighted the role of the media in disseminating information about initiatives undertaken by the IMC and contributing to changes in cleanliness across the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR).

Jilen said the corporation would continue to keep the newspaper, which also has a digital platform, informed about major updates. He said cleanliness was a collective responsibility and acknowledged the role of media coverage in reaching the public.

Tari, who had been associated with newspapers at the national level earlier in his career, said print media faced challenges at a time when news was readily available online. He urged the newspaper to publish authentic reports and provide coverage reflecting public concerns.

“Media has power, but it also has responsibilities,” he said.

Tajo thanked the guests for their support and spoke about his vision for launching the newspaper despite the challenges.
