Papum Pare DC reviews development projects, govt schemes

YUPIA, OCT 16:

Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Mamu Hage on Friday chaired the third District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) meeting at the DC Conference Hall here to review developmental projects, sectoral issues and the implementation of government schemes in the district.

Heads of departments from agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, animal husbandry and veterinary, education, women and child development, health, sports, tourism, Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ARSLM), land management, food and civil supplies, industries, Industrial Training Institute (ITI), forest, statistics and rural development, along with the e-governance officer, presented updates on completed and ongoing projects.

The presentations covered the progress of Centrally Sponsored and state-sponsored schemes, achievements and issues requiring intervention.

Hage said earlier DLMC reviews had been conducted with various engineering wings. To facilitate a more detailed assessment, departments had been grouped to allow sufficient time for presentations on their programmes, achievements and challenges. She has also been holding one-to-one meetings with individual departments to review progress and address specific concerns.

Emphasising time-bound implementation, accountability and regular field-level monitoring, the DC urged heads of departments to identify bottlenecks, strengthen inter-departmental coordination and ensure that government schemes deliver tangible benefits to intended beneficiaries, particularly in remote areas.

She also advised departments to maintain accurate progress records, ensure proper utilisation of funds and promptly bring unresolved issues to the notice of the district administration for timely intervention. (DIPR)
