Dibang Valley to begin AgriStack Phase-II survey from Amuli

ANINI, OCT 22:

Dibang Valley district is set to begin the ground implementation of the AgriStack Programme Phase-II from Amuli village, with a Gram Sabha scheduled for Friday to raise awareness among farmers ahead of the start of physical survey operations.

A district-level orientation and coordination meeting on the programme was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office conference hall in Anini on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Yashwant Meena.

Organised by the Department of Agriculture, Anini, the meeting discussed the roadmap for creating an authenticated digital identity for farmers to facilitate the delivery of agricultural schemes, services and benefits.

Addressing the meeting, Agriculture Development Officer (ADO), headquarters, Duyu Udi said unique Farmer IDs would be generated for all eligible farmers in the district. She stressed that farmers must have their Aadhaar linked to a valid mobile number to facilitate the generation and authentication of their IDs.

Udi also highlighted the scope of AgriStack farm boundary mapping, which will cover eligible agricultural and horticultural plots, fisheries-related and livestock-based areas, as well as land under current jhum cultivation.

A technical session on digital survey tools and spatial mapping was conducted by Pankaj Borah, project coordinator from M/s IT Solutions.

The field survey will begin in Amuli following the awareness programme, marking the start of the district’s ground-level implementation of AgriStack Phase-II.
