The representatives are visiting Imphal to conduct a recruitment drive at the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) International Academy at Manipur University.

More than 230 youths from the state are currently working in Japan across various sectors, the statement said.

The state government will also organise training programmes for truck and taxi drivers seeking employment opportunities in Japan, it added.

In a social media post, Singh said the delegation had expressed keen interest in recruiting skilled youths from Manipur for employment opportunities in Japan.
