Around 300 benefit from medical camp at remote Kothung

KHONSA, OCT 17:

Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Zonal General Hospital (ZGH), Khonsa, organised a medical camp at Kothung, Noglo, in Tirap district on Friday, providing healthcare services to around 300 patients from the remote area.

The medical team included Dr Likha Yazur, MD (Pathology), and Dr Vimoli Tarang, MD (Radiology), who, along with Assam Rifles medical staff and personnel from the Battalion Headquarters and Noglo Company Operating Base (COB), provided consultations and medical assistance to local residents.

The camp aimed to improve access to essential healthcare services for people in the remote area by bringing medical facilities closer to the community.

Local residents appreciated Assam Rifles and ZGH Khonsa for organising the camp and providing healthcare assistance.

The initiative highlighted the efforts of Assam Rifles to strengthen healthcare outreach in remote areas, support community welfare and foster trust and cooperation between security forces and local residents.
