SELA TUNNEL, SEP 29:

The 12-F Team of the 12th Battalion, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), in collaboration with the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), West Kameng, conducted a mock exercise based on a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) emergency scenario at Sela Tunnel on Monday.

The exercise, held from 11.10 am to 1.10 pm, was based on the scenario discussed during the Tabletop Exercise (TTEx) conducted at the DC Office, West Kameng, on September 28.

During the exercise, the NDRF team demonstrated chemical detection, identification and marking of hot and warm zones, first aid, search and evacuation, victim decontamination and area decontamination procedures.

Representatives of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), 90 RCC, Patel Engineering and the Police Department participated in the exercise.

A debriefing session was conducted by DDMO West Kameng Mindu Yangzom following completion of the exercise.
