NAMSAI, SEP 7:
The 5th District Task Force for Immunization (DTFI) meeting for financial year 2026–27, along with a review of various National Health Mission (NHM) programme activities, was held at the DC Conference Hall here on Monday.
The meeting was chaired by Namsai Deputy Commissioner Lobsang Tsering, with Zilla Parishad Chairperson (ZPC) Chow Sujana Namchoom in attendance.
The meeting was attended by the District Medical Officer (DMO), Medical Officers, Heads of Departments, officials of the District Health Society and representatives of various health institutions.
The proceedings began with a welcome and keynote address by the DMO, followed by presentations and reviews on the functioning and performance of Community Health Centre (CHC) Chowkham, Primary Health Centres (PHCs) at Emphum, Lathao, Piyong and New Mohong, District Hospital Namsai and CHC Mahadevpur.
The meeting reviewed the status of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination, District TB Forum activities and the Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) programme. The participating institutions presented their achievements and highlighted challenges and areas requiring further attention to strengthen healthcare delivery across the district.
Addressing the meeting, DC Lobsang Tsering stressed the need for effective coordination among stakeholders, regular monitoring and timely implementation of health programmes to ensure quality healthcare services to the people.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the District Reproductive and Child Health Officer (DRCHO).
