East Siang youth participate in VVVP

PASIGHAT : Youths from East Siang district participated in the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme (VVVP), a month-long national initiative organised by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

Held from June 3 to 30, the programme brought together 403 young participants from 245 districts across all States and Union Territories.

Conceived in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India’s border villages into vibrant centres of development and prosperity, the initiative offered participants an immersive learning experience on the strategic, cultural and developmental importance of border regions.

The programme sought to foster leadership, patriotism, community engagement and national integration while encouraging greater awareness of the role border villages play in the country’s development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually interacted with the participants from across the country and urged them to contribute actively to nation-building and serve as ambassadors of development in their respective regions.

The participation of youths from East Siang reflected the district’s commitment to empowering young people and encouraging their active involvement in the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’. (DIPR)
