ITANAGAR : Governor Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd) has extended his warm greetings to the people of the state, particularly the Muslim community, on the sacred occasion of Eid ul Zuha.

In his message, the Governor said that Eid ul Zuha, also known as Eid al Adha, commemorates the unwavering faith and devotion of Hazrat Ibrahim (Abraham) to Almighty Allah and carries deep spiritual significance.

He said the festival symbolises the timeless values of sacrifice, humility, compassion, obedience and selfless service to humanity. Beyond the celebrations, the occasion inspires brotherhood, mutual respect, generosity and social harmony, while encouraging people to share happiness and extend support to the less fortunate.

Highlighting India’s rich composite culture, the Governor said the nation’s strength lies in its unity in diversity and peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths and traditions. Festivals such as Eid ul Zuha further reinforce these cherished values and encourage collective efforts towards peace, social harmony and national integration, he added.

The Governor wished that the festival brings happiness, prosperity, good health and spiritual fulfillment to every home.
