Governor Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd) has extended warm greetings to the teaching community of the state on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, lauding their dedication, wisdom and compassion in shaping the minds, character and values of students.

In his message, the Governor said teaching was a noble profession carrying the profound responsibility of enlightening, inspiring and preparing young people for life. He noted that a teacher’s words, example and encouragement could leave a lasting impact on students, making teachers builders of individuals and the foundation of a progressive and responsible society.

He urged teachers to be “Game Changers” by remaining socially responsible, innovative and committed to nurturing confident, skilled and ethical young citizens.

The Governor emphasised that educational institutions must prepare students to become assets to society — innovative, employable and enterprising — and equip them to create opportunities and generate sustainable wealth through the responsible use of Arunachal Pradesh’s abundant natural and human resources.

He also recalled that Teachers’ Day commemorates the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, eminent scholar, philosopher, teacher and former President of India, whose life exemplified the transformative power of education.

The Governor expressed hope that the occasion would inspire teachers and students to uphold the highest ideals of knowledge, integrity, compassion and service and contribute to a united, enlightened and prosperous Arunachal Pradesh and India.
