ITANAGAR : The Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) has mobilised ₹15,26,570 to provide humanitarian assistance to families affected by the recent flash floods across the state.
The fund, raised through contributions from IFCSAP district units and the Central Executive Committee, has been distributed among five of the worst flood-affected districts.
According to details released by IFCSAP General Secretary Maya Murtem, Papum Pare received ₹2,05,732, contributed by the IFCSAP district units of Bichom (₹18,500), Pakke Kessang (₹51,500), Papum Pare (₹85,732) and the Central IFCSAP (₹50,000).
Keyi Panyor received ₹3,50,000 under the coordination of IFCSAP Assistant General Secretary (West) Ngurang Gagu. The contributions came from the district units of Keyi Panyor (₹40,000), Lower Subansiri (₹50,000), Kurung Kumey (₹2,00,000), Shi Yomi (₹10,000) and the Central IFCSAP (₹50,000).
Leparada was provided ₹3,14,373, coordinated by IFCSAP Vice President (Headquarters) Bai Taba. The amount included contributions from the district units of Siang (₹30,523), Kamle (₹85,200), Upper Subansiri (₹30,000), Leparada (₹15,000), West Siang (₹60,000), Anjaw (₹15,000), Kra Daadi (₹28,650) and the Central IFCSAP (₹50,000).
Lower Siang received ₹3,40,115, coordinated by IFCSAP Youth Wing President Taba Rad. Contributions were made by the district units of Tirap (₹53,000), Lower Dibang Valley (₹15,000), Lower Siang (₹26,065), Tawang (₹50,000), West Kameng (₹41,000), Capital Complex (₹1,05,050) and the Central IFCSAP (₹50,000).
East Siang received ₹3,16,350 under the coordination of IFCSAP Youth Wing Vice President Olom Perme. The amount comprised contributions from the district units of East Siang (₹25,000), Upper Siang (₹34,850), Dibang Valley (₹51,000), Lohit (₹15,500), Namsai (₹1,20,000), Longding (₹20,000) and the Central IFCSAP (₹50,000).
The distribution of relief assistance commenced on August 5 and concluded on Friday with the final tranche being handed over to the Deputy Commissioner of Leparada district.
Expressing gratitude to all district units, office bearers and well-wishers for their contributions, IFCSAP said the statewide response reflected the indigenous values of compassion, community service and solidarity during times of crisis.
The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting disaster-affected families and extending humanitarian assistance wherever required.
