Lohit reviews school performance, charts roadmap for better results

TEZU : A district-level education review meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Tezu on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Lohit Deputy Commissioner K.N. Damo to assess the academic performance of schools and discuss measures to improve educational outcomes across the district.

Presenting an overview of the district’s education scenario, Lohit Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE) Tumngam Nyodu highlighted the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) results for the 2025-26 academic session. Lohit recorded a pass percentage of 64.79 per cent in Class X and 76.34 per cent in Class XII.

Reviewing the performance, Damo urged school heads and teachers to adopt focused and result-oriented strategies to improve academic outcomes. He stressed the importance of remedial classes for academically weak students, regular parent-teacher meetings, timely completion of the syllabus and continuous monitoring of students’ progress.

The DC also called for stronger coordination among school authorities, teachers and parents, and emphasised early identification of learning gaps to enable timely academic support for students.

The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to strengthen the district’s education system and improve students’ academic performance. (DIPR)
