Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Monday reviewed preparations for the reception and exposition of the sacred Buddha relics at a meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall here.

Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Zilla Parishad Chairperson, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and nodal officers of various sub-committees attended the meeting.

Mein took stock of arrangements being made by the district administration and other stakeholders for the religious event and stressed the need for close coordination among all concerned departments, organising committees and stakeholders for its smooth conduct.

Emphasising the religious significance of the occasion, Mein urged all concerned to discharge their assigned responsibilities with sincerity, dedication and collective commitment, while ensuring the convenience and safety of devotees expected to attend the exposition.
