NAMSAI : The fourth meeting of the District Task Force on Immunization (DTFI) was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall here on Friday under the chairmanship of Namsai Deputy Commissioner CR Khampa to review the district’s immunisation programme and strategies for improving vaccination coverage.
The meeting was attended by Zilla Parishad Chairperson Chow Sujana Namchoom, District Medical Officer, the District Reproductive and Child Health Officer (DRCHO), medical officers and other health functionaries.
Welcoming the participants, the District Medical Officer highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to strengthen the district’s immunisation programme and ensure maximum coverage of eligible beneficiaries.
The DRCHO presented a review of immunisation activities carried out across the district, covering routine immunisation performance, achievements, field-level challenges and measures to improve vaccination coverage, particularly in hard-to-reach areas.
In his concluding remarks, Khampa appreciated the efforts of the Health Department and other stakeholders in implementing the immunisation programme. He stressed the need for continued coordination, regular monitoring and community awareness to achieve universal immunisation coverage, and directed the concerned departments to address existing gaps for effective service delivery.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to strengthen immunisation services and improve the health outcomes of children and mothers in the district. (DIPR)
