LEMI, OCT 13:
Pakke Kessang district police conducted a three-day surprise checking drive under the jurisdictions of Lemmi and Pakke Kessang police stations to curb drug trafficking and promote road safety.
During the drive, police teams carried out random vehicle inspections to detect and deter the transportation and possession of narcotic substances and other contraband items. Vehicles were also checked for traffic violations and non-compliance with safety regulations, with spot fines imposed on violators.
The police also sensitised commuters about traffic rules and the legal consequences of drug-related offences.
The district police urged citizens to comply with the law, remain vigilant and cooperate with the police in maintaining road safety and building a drug-free district.
