Smart check gate at Banderdewa handed over to Naharlagun Police

BANDERDEWA, AUG 17:

The Smart Check Gate at Banderdewa, developed under the Smart City initiative, was formally handed over by the Itanagar Smart City Development Corporation Limited (ISCDCL) to the ICR Naharlagun Police on Monday following an inspection of the infrastructure and installed facilities.

Naharlagun Superintendent of Police Nyelam Nega inspected the various facilities and discussed their functionality and operational aspects with officials concerned.

The handover was attended by Urban Development Executive Engineer Songli Sonam, Naharlagun Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rishi Longdo, Banderdewa Circle Officer Taba Milka, Urban Development Assistant Engineer Gokul Belo, Banderdewa Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kipa Hamak, Urban Development Junior Engineer Tapi Gongo and contractor Lokam Nai.

Equipped with closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) surveillance, boom barriers and other supporting infrastructure, the Smart Check Gate is expected to strengthen security, surveillance and traffic management at the Banderdewa entry point.

Nega said the facility would enhance technology-enabled surveillance and support efficient, secure and people-centric policing in the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR).
