GUMTO, OCT 2:

A Special Gram Sabha was conducted across all four Gram Panchayats under XIII-Gumto Panchayat on Friday to strengthen community participation and grassroots governance.

Gumto Circle Officer Rebecca Borang oversaw the proceedings.

Representatives from the Medical, Power, Public Health Engineering (PHE), Veterinary, Food and Civil Supplies, Education, Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), Horticulture, Agriculture and Women and Child Development (WCD) departments participated in the Gram Sabha.

The participating departments interacted with community members on matters related to local development and public welfare and extended their cooperation for the successful conduct of the programme.

The participation of elected representatives, government officials and community members further reinforced public engagement and grassroots governance across the panchayat.
