NAHARLAGUN : A state-level workshop on “Enhancing Digital Governance through UMANG, myScheme and DigiLocker” was organised at the Banquet Hall here on Thursday by the Department of Information Technology and Communication in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
The workshop focused on promoting digital governance and creating awareness about key citizen-centric digital platforms developed by the Government of India.
Addressing the participants, Information Technology and e-Governance Chairman Nyamar Karbak and Department of Information Technology and Communication Secretary Dr Yijum Tato highlighted the importance of digital platforms in improving public service delivery and enhancing citizen access to government services.
The programme featured technical presentations by NeGD resource persons. Prabhnoor Singh explained the features of DigiLocker, highlighting how the platform enables citizens to securely access, store and manage important documents in digital form.
Another resource person, Sarwes Kumar, gave detailed presentations on UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) and myScheme, outlining their role in providing seamless access to government services and welfare schemes.
The workshop aimed to encourage wider adoption of digital platforms and strengthen digital governance initiatives across the state. (DIPR)
