MON : Agriculture and Allied Minister Gabriel D Wangsu on Monday delivered relief supplies to families affected by the recent devastating landslide in Mon district of Nagaland, in a humanitarian gesture reflecting regional solidarity and compassion.
Accompanied by Longding Deputy Commissioner Kunal Yadav, and local leaders, the Minister met the district administration of Mon and representatives of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO), Konyak Union, Konyak Students’ Union (KSU), Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK) and Upper Eastern Council (UEC).
During the visit, Wangsu conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and expressed solidarity with those affected by the tragedy. He also prayed for strength, healing and the speedy recovery of the victims.
The recent landslide claimed several lives and left the community grieving.
The gesture was widely seen as a reflection of the long-standing historical ties and goodwill shared between the Wancho and Konyak communities, reaffirming that the spirit of humanity and regional brotherhood transcends geographical boundaries.
