Probe ordered after students reportedly injure themselves at Dibrugarh school in Assam

DIBRUGARH, SEP 11:

Several students of a private school in Assam’s Dibrugarh district were reportedly injured in an incident involving self-harm, prompting the district administration to order an inquiry on Friday, officials said.

The incident took place at Don Bosco HS School here on Thursday, with 12 class 7 students reportedly sustaining injuries, they said.

Reports claimed that one of the students instigated others to injure themselves with a sharp object during school hours, though none was seriously injured in the incident.

After the incident came to light, the district administration directed inspector of schools Kabita Deka to conduct a probe.

Deka has been asked to examine all relevant facts and circumstances relating to the incident and submit a comprehensive report to the district commissioner within seven days. (Source: PTI)
